The office of the Resident Commissioner, Government of Odisha at New Delhi, functions under the administrative control of the Home Department, Govt. of Odisha. This works as an integrated office. It coordinates with various Ministries of the Central Government, Central PSUs, multi-lateral and bilateral agencies and various other organisations on behalf of the Government of Odisha. The integrated office in Delhi facilitates flow of central resources, co-ordinates and supervises various strategic tasks and helps to maintain a favourable image of Odisha in the world of investment. In addition, the Odisha Investment and Export Promotion Office (OIEPO) in the Office of the Chief Resident Commissioner undertakes various activities for Odisha. This office supervises the functioning of Odisha Bhawan, Odisha Niwas and Odisha Sadan to provide the best possible services to visitors in Delhi. The cell for Litigation Management System (LMS) has been opened for monitoring all pending cases in the Supreme Court and various judicial and quasi-judicial forums at Delhi shall be supervised by this office. A help-line functions to detect and address the child abuse and trafficking cases faced by women/children from Odisha in New Delhi and NCR and ensures timely intervention to provide relief including repatriation to Odisha. This office also coordinates with the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on cases relating to harassment faced by migrant labourers and repatriation issues.
